The ratification of residential standard XP C 93531-17, in 2017, introduced Grade 3 TV cable, a twisted pair cable with a bandwidth of 2.2 GHz on one pair. The new edition of the standard, which came into application in 2020, tightened the rules by requiring a high level of coupling attenuation, which poses a real technical challenge for LAN cable manufacturers.

CAE GROUP is one of the first manufacturers to develop a GRADE 3 TV cable compliant with the standard. Find out about the technological challenges of meeting this new standard, deciphered here by our experts.
